High price of Beltone return policy

I had a free hearing test from Beltone. The gentleman doing the test was nice enough and advised me I needed a hearing aid.

He was very persuasive so I agreed. By the time I came home I realized I had made a huge mistake, I could hear just as well without the hearing aid. When I returned it, I found out that I don't get the full price back, they deduct $1279.00 from my over $6400 price upon returning. I returned it in 2 days.

In my opinion this is highway robbery and taking advantage of seniors.

Please tell me if this is normal for other companies. I learned a very eye opening lesson about this company.

same thinh is happening to me. except i am told they are not returnable.

all sales are final. my problem is that i found that i could not afford them. i am on a fixed income. i feel i was pushed into it.

this is the highest company to buy a hearing aid i found. be aware people

I purchased my Beltone hearing aids last month , I have tried every thing to wear them but when I have them on I can't hear any thin when people talk to me or on the phone or when I try to watch TV like so many other people I was talked into a high price set of hearing aids and told that I could not just buy one it had to be two so I have an appointment this week I hope I can work something out . The hearing aids are not helping at all I hear better without than with those

and I know that its not normal because my brother had one hearing aid when he passed away so his wife let me use it for a while and it was wonderful .

Simply Smart Touch hearing aids do not charge any fees for returns. They are extremely low in cost.

You can also buy a 1,2,or 3 year warranty. I see the reviews and most all are positive.

Usually there is a restocking fee for returns. However, I have never seen it at this price, the highest price I've ever seen is $399 to return hearing aids. But only 1 of 5 people are returning because Beltone is truly the best technology out there not to mention we LOVE our customers and do everything we can to meet all of their hearing needs.

Serious? My mum is using a pair of Beltone hearing aid, it is working well for her so far.

Their service is also very good and they are very patient to my mum as well. Which outlet did you get the hearing aid from?

Shopped around for hearing aids in the fall, to include Beltone. Bought from another company. Within the last month, Beltone regional office has called me on a regular basis about their product. Doesn't do any good to tell them I'm not interested. Even contacted main office, then get a call two days later. They can't take no for an answer and are a pain in the butt.

I got my hearing aid about 7 months ago and the right one goes out every other day! I have been told that it is dirty ( not), and one excuse after enough! Right now, it went out after they got it working yesterday. My first ones never gave me any problems! I am still paying on these things and they were supposed to be better than my old ones! Someone help me! I have always taken good care of my hearing aids but nothing works with these new ones. I am there in the office every other day. Many times it goes out on the weekends and I have to wait until Monday for them to work on it. This is the Salisbury Beltone Store. Very unhappy customer!

You have a warranty that will fix or replace them... since they're that new , simply have them replaced.

Nothing but problem legend 9 63

I have had my two legend hearing aids for about 9 months, and have nothing but trouble. The right ear aid failed while we were on vacation, i had to located an office. the aid had to send to the factory. this occurred in June of 2016. The same aid has now failed again, October 2016 and is going to be send out again. the left aid continues to loose volume, no matter how high I set the volume. The tube was replaced about two weeks ago, and now the volume has now no volume again. I have to wait days for an appointment because the local office is not staffed full time. I spend $5k and so far it has been a waste of money. I want a refund!

Consider yourself lucky that you were able to get service while on vacation. I live overseas and the local Beltone store wouldn't service my under warranty device.

I had to ship it back to the original point of sale in the U.S. for repair. Beltone corporate told me that their distributors operate under their own policies, meaning that my "international" warranty comes with a "ship it home" provision that wasn't disclosed.

I like the devices overall, and my original experience was quite positive. Not happy with the post-sale support.

Let me clarify that.

The original seller has been great to deal with. It's the support outside of their area that gives me little confidence.

Ive had the Beltone Legend 17 for 6 months. So far Ive had to visit the store too many times for adjustments or battery repairs.

Iam totally disgusted with the product and its reliability. The local service is very good, but the product is not reliable.

No chance of a total refund. My next step is to complain to HQ and the BBB.

Defective hearing aid

I went to durham nc beltone office purchased a pair of aids, the left aid came apart in my fingers this was a few months after the warrenty had expired. They offered to glue it back together for $300,which I refused to do.

the aid was as thin as egg shell and I felt this was not the solution to this problem.I told them this was a defective aid .They wanted me to purchase another ,I told them that I would never use them again to get another aid . The right aid has been working fine now for over a year after the left one came apart in fingers when it was removed .THe left one should have still been in the same condition as the right one DEFECTIVE AID( I AM ONE DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER )

Beltone - Hearing Aids Repair Review from Union, New Jersey

My hearing aid needed repairs. I went the Toms River office and they determined the problem. I was told I could expect the repair to be completed within 2 weeks. That was a month ago! After numerous calls they informed me I would be contacted when they received the hearing aid from the lab. The staff was indifferent and curt. Funny thing- when I purchased the aids for $4000.00 they were ready in a week.

2014 I bought a $6000 set of Beltone Hearing Aids, $2000 dn and 325.00 a month. After adjustment once to three times a month, I still couldn't hear,so I told them I was not making another payment until I could hear.

They said I needed to train people how to talk to me.So then I started seeing Nick. He ask if he could make me hear would I resume my payments, I said absolutely !!! so after a couple of months I still couldn't hear, so they gave me THE LEGEND and told me if I paid them $90.00, they would write the rest of the bill off, so I said ok. But I couldn't hear any better than before,so Nick called me a" crazy old lady ".Then after a couple of months one completely quit, so I went in the office to see what was wrong,the tech said those were notorious for wax build up,so he took it to clean it.

After a couple of minutes he brought it back out and laid it on the counter,i got up to get it ,but the secretary picked it up .

He came out and said,give me the other one and i'll clean it too, so I gave it to him.a minute later he came out and said he couldn't give my hearing aids back till i paid him $1600 dollars, so now they have almost $5000 dollars of my money and my hearing aids. So please go somewhere else for your hearing aids,these are not honest people.I am willing to to take a lie detector test anywhere any time to these facts.

My husband spend $5,000. for a uselessness hearing aid. Doctor in Greenville tx was inpatient never want to take time to adjust him hearing aid we stop going there. It was money we wasted on. People if you ever need hearing aid go see the ears and nose doctor first. Never go to BELTON to buy hearing aids.

Beltone hearing aids

After about 10 months my hearing aids stop working one then the other, sent them back for repairs twice and they are still not working right. The other problem I have is the company only has one service guy for a hundred mile radius and you never can get service when you need it. one day they are in one place the next day they may be 100 miles away. I will never buy beltone hearing aids again. The worst thing about this my insurance only cover hearing aids every 4 years so I guess I won't be able to hear for the next 3 years

Added unknown charges on paid in full bill and took insurance refund $$

Got aids in June 2015. Not very good quality, for cost.

Paid copay for bill. Insurance paid less than agreed amount. I was billed extra $1066 above what I had already paid. I paid $1066 more In Aug.

2015 to pay full bill. Argued with insurance and finally in Nov. 2015 they sent $1066 check to Beltone. Jan.15,2015, I get check from Beltone for $731.

After repeated calls and stops at the shop, on Feb.23,2016 I'm told that it is for "services" that are added on, as per their insurance contract.$365 added to my paid in full bill.

Beltone never billed me once in a 6 month time frame for this $365. Beware of this business.

Beltone issue resolved. After discussions Beltone offered $365 refund or to extend warranty, which was acceptable. Hearing aids tuned up and working better than before.

Did you read the contract to verify what they claimed? If not, then please do so.

Request a copy from them if you don't have it.

Also, you can complain to your state's medical board about them. Find the proper agency at your state's main website.

Beltone behind the ear 2000 dollar model has stopped working twice since I purchased it it has always been uncomfortable in my ear possibly due to the shape of the part that goes into the ear.The staff are very nice and I know they don't make the product I have not even finished paying for the aid and that is one thing that bothers me it is like making payments on a car that does not run.I have had it around a year

No professionals not clean office

Experience. Was terrible, forced device I. My ear and bled for a week, could not wear hearing aid, dropped on floor and tried to force the device back in ear, the tech became very irate do and threw his hands on desk, said that he could not please me, lost 300.00 because of this. This location for belt one needs to be reported. Helen Green. I have doctors report showing my ear that was treated .

I rewcetly got my hearing aid from Beltone and am very happy with it. Bob, who took care of me, was very professional and answered all my questions. In fact, he said that of I have any more questions to call him and he would help. I do not understand these reviews here. I checked ratings and there are three companies that are rated hiogher than others. Beltone in that company. The price was reasonable after having priced many others. I like the personal touch that I get with Beltone. I ordered a pair from Eargo on line and was very dissatisfied. There is no one who I could go see about any problems. I did get my money though. I have a three year payoff period. With this I get free batteries for that period. I asked what happens when the aid begins to wear down. Bob told me that I would not have to pay for a new set but that I could have the one I have upgraded at a low price. I have improved my hearing so much that my wife and family no longer have to yell so that I can hear them. Believe me, this is good for me and for them. I totally would give my Beltones a high grade.
